Aftercare

Proper tattoo aftercare is crucial for ensuring the longevity, vibrancy, and overall health of your new tattoo.

Cling Wrap

If your tattoo artist has covered your new ink with cling film, it's advised to keep it on for at least one hour, but make sure not to leave it on for more than four hours.

When you remove the wrap, gently clean the tattoo by either wiping it with a damp paper towel or washing it during your shower.

After showering, softly pat the tattooed area dry with a clean towel.

Finally, apply a specialized tattoo aftercare product to the tattoo regularly until it is fully healed.

Tattoo Creams

When using an aftercare product, apply only a thin layer.

If you experience any redness or irritation from the cream, stop using it right away.

Keep your tattoo clean at all times.

Over-the-counter creams like Aquaphor, Aveeno, and VERB Body Lotion can assist with healing.

There are other tattoo creams available, so be sure to follow the recommended instructions for application.

We recommend Balm Tattoo for proper hydration plus it helps to protect, maintain and revive the color and definition of the tattoo.

Healing

The healing process usually takes up to 14 days, though this can vary from person to person.

During this time, it's important to avoid activities like swimming, baths, and saunas to keep the tattoo dry.

When showering, keep it brief—under 15 minutes—and use lukewarm water that's gentle on the fresh tattoo.

Avoid direct sun exposure and steer clear of fake tanning products.

Wear loose-fitting clothing and stay away from accessories that could rub against the tattoo.

You can continue exercising, but make sure to keep the tattoo clean. If you feel any discomfort during workouts, it's best to take a break until you're more comfortable.

Refrain from scratching or picking at the tattoo. Itching is normal and a sign that the healing is progressing.
